Management not providing landlord contact info

By Hillary White

Hello, I am a renter in the Tempe area of Arizona. I am renting from consolidated assets management, a property management group. After many issues, I recently asked for my landlord’s name and telephone number. They refuse to provide such information.

I am wondering if there is a law that requires renters to have access to their landlords?

Please let me know. Thank you.

No there is no rental law that allows you to contact the owner.  You should be able to contact at least a manager or responsible party but many times owners are nothing more than investors and will not deal directly with tenants.  Even if you could get ahold of owner, he/she would most likely refer you back to the manager.

The real question is why do you think you need to talk to the owner?
