Move out invoice from landlord looks unrealistic

By Saurav

Hi,

I have real problem digesting the invoice amount and the content that has been sent by my earlier landlord. The landlord is asking for the repair cost of the age old microwave, dishwater. He also invoiced for the door which was in good condition when i left. Even he mentioned that I need to pay him 15 days of rent for perform repairs in apartment!
there are more details which I will discuss if required from your side
I stay in virginia and it looks like the landlord is asking too much. Please help me in this regard.
Thanks
Saurav

Hi Saurav! Do you have any pictures of the condition of the house when you left? You can use those as proofs once you filed your complaint. When the microwave and dishwasher broke during your stay did you informed your landlord about it? You can file a complaint against him if you think that he is charging you excessively.
