notification of sex offender moving in house

By worried

I I’m wondering if my landlord has to notify me if he rents the apartment below me to a lifetime registered sex offender.  I live in a two story house, in the upper apartment.  I have a child at home.  I only found out two days ago that he is a sexual predator.  I also am quite certain that my neighbors do not know either because neighborhood children often hang around.  I also found out two days ago that the guy who lived under us before he moved in was a sex offender.  I’m certain none of our neighbors knew about him either because there were neighborhood kids there all the time.  Finding out that my landlord rented this apartment out twice in a row to two different registered sex offenders has me feeling betrayed because of the lack of notification.
