We pay utilities for landlords other tenants

By Yvette White

I have so many UNBELIEVABLE complaints regarding my landlord that I don’t know where to begin! Unfortunately, I’m on my way out the door and I don’t have the time needed to properly express the manitude of this property owner’s all out effort to avoid spending a dime for the maintenance and upkeep of his property.

I will share that our rent is $3000 per month and although we agreed to pay for cable and internet for the other two tenants on the lower floor of the building, I recently found out that there is only one meter for electricity, gas and water for the entire building which means that we pay: Water, Electricity and Gas as well as Trash Collection for my SLUM-lord’s other tenants AND he collects a small fee from those same tenants for internet and cable service, even though we pay for it! All things considered, we pay close to $4000 per month to live here and the owner will not even send a plumber out to fix the tub and shower that both literally run, not drip, hot water around the clock.

It gets SO much worse than what I’ve mentioned and I’m looking forward to sharing the complete low-down on just how low-down and dirty this property owner has been to my family…you won’t believe it! Heck, I live it and I sometimes find it difficult to believe.

Try talking to your landlord politely regarding your concerns. Make things clear for both of you. That way you can get matters fixed harmoniously and keep a good relationship with each other.
