Carpet damage eviction

By Anonobon

Afternoon. I am the proud owner of two bad dogs that destroyed my carpet. I am not contesting the charges however the bill they sent me says that i have 30 days to pay before they refuse my rent. The alternative was to pay $200.00 extra dollars a month for the remainder five months. Seeing as how i’m getting married, literally after the lease expires and so i’m very reluctant/broke to to tackle such an expense. I went and talked to the landlord after receiving the bill and they said that they needed the money within five days before refusing my rent, not 30. My deposit totals 900.00 dollars and will cover the expenses but seeing as how i’m responsible and need to pay for the damages i’ve offered 100.00 extra dollars a month and if they would take the remainder out of the deposit. The response was that the deposit doesn’t take effect until after i vacate and cannot be used in negotiations. The bill says thirty-days and i really can’t afford an eviction.
