File case over bed bugs

I have been living at my apartment for 8yr.since may my children have been bitten  With bed bugs and  it’s taken a toll on me both emotionally that I don’t want to be here anymore.can I take my landlord to court .i had to throw most of my furniture out .im

A single mom who I admit most of the times I do pay my rent late but I pay with late charges .i feel lost right now and don’t know wha to do. I have 4children at home and I grandson 15 month old.can anyone please guide me on how to get out of this infected building.this bedbug infestation has been going on since las yr in this building . Please help me.
