Help! I subletted a room from a woman on a month-to-month lease and moved out April 1st. I sent her an email about when to drop off the keys (she only uses a deadbolt lock) and what she wanted to do about the deposit. She responded with that she would need a week or two to come up with the deposit. That was on April 1st. I have since left her multiple phone messages as well as sent a couple emails again asking what she wanted to do about the keys and deposit, but I have not heard anything from her since. I know in Colorado the landlord has up to 30 days to return a deposit but it has now passed that point in time. I have gone over the lease (which I had to request from her) and I have complied with all of the criteria she set. So what now? She is a single mother and, from what I thought, a nice person. I don’t want to cause any trouble, I just want to give back the keys, get my deposit and be done with it. Related posts:
