who is responsible for emptying septic tank

Our family of 7 resides in a large country home. In our lease, the landlords state they are responsible for pumping out the septic every three months and everything before or after that is our responsibility. The tank fills up in two months. According to a sanitation worker who comes out to pump, there is no way the tank could make it to 3 months even if our family’s size was significantly smaller. Are the landlords responsible to take care of the septic or is it legal for them to be handling it the way they are? We have paid a percentage of the bill 3x since November.

Hello,

About 1 month ago I discovered I had "Bed Bugs" in my apartment after the 1st treatment I was told I would be charged 300.00 for 2 treatments, the treatments were done and I still have Bugs, I was told that the infestation was my fault that is why I am being charged. I have lived in my apartment for 10 years, during that time no improvements were done to the apartment, painting and re-carpeting. The "Bed Bugs" are nesting in the Brick Wall behind my sleeping area that needs to be tuck pointed. I have asked for painting and recarpeting, to be done and was told I have to sign a new lease. I have been on a month to month. What te laws concerning my particular situation, and do I have any rights.

being forced to pay carpet cleaning

My daughter lives in a student apt. complex in San Antonoio texas. We are about to move her out and the manager now says we have to provide a receipt that the carpet has been cleaned. There are no stains or worn areas and my understanding is we can only be charged for anything other than normal wear and tear. She has lived there for 12 months. the manager states it was clean when we moved in so it has to be clean when we move out. She also stated they do not use or follow TAA lease and rules but I told her if this is a state law she has to follow it so where can I find proof of this if it exists?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our landlord has given us two months notice to vacate our apartment. He is refusing to return our security deposit and is threatening to sue us for damage to property (a minor chip in a dining room table, a small tear in the arm of a leather love seat etc.) that we maintain was not caused by us.

Is he entitled to sue us and/or withhold our security deposit. He is saying we should pay for new carpet, a new table, a new love seat as well as other damage, in the amount of $3,500 approximately. We are supposed to vacate the premises by July 31st, so any advice that you can give us would be much appreciated.

How to get my deposit back??

This is Ankita here. I moved to San francisco city from 1st May. I had an email communication with the lady that i need accomodation for 2 or 2 and half months and thne i would be going back to India. I cannot come on the lease too.Lady agreed. During our Verbal communication she mentioned of Deposit being one more rent $495 and will be refunded to me at the time i will be moving out. Earlier they did mention that i do not need to find a replacement to get my deposit back.

The lady has now changed her mind and is requesting me to find a replacement in place of me to get my deposit back. She did not mention to me till last week. though i m trying to find some girl in place of me she rejects mentioning her criterias.

I hav written mail communication of my notice to her (lady on lease) but do not have anything with respect to deposit unfortunately.

I will be leaving this country this Friday. Kindly suggest some way how can i get my deposit back.

illegal eviction of disabled tenant

I am seeking advice. Im disabled and use a wheelchair sometimes. I was denied access to the gate in front of my unit for 4 months. Landlord didnt care, asked for Dr. note, still didnt believe me. Fire marshal made him disable broken lock to allow tenants safe access to gate. Then the AC kept breaking. turns out owner knows system is failing for yrs. When I asked about breaking lease because of heat, no AC making my disease worse, landlord to me to court for breaking lease and 1 month rent. He lost the rent check! in court we all agreed I would get out asap but no date given. Then landlord threatened sherif eviction. Then with no AC and packing my kids had to call 911, chest pain. Dr. said it was heat stroke and the stress but ekg not normal so see cardiologist too. 6 days after hospital landlord did have us removed. were given 10 min. to get some things and get out. I did have city inspector who had helped with gates and he sent someone from city to make landlord let us back in to get our things. Its a long story but here is my question. Doesnt it sound like I have a strong legal case and should I sue for medical bills, stress, ect… and how can I find a GOOD attorney to help on contingency? Seems like no lawyer wants to help if I mention landlord tenant issue. My Dr. said they almost killed me and we have a strong case. Now I am homeless living at daughter’s until I find a place. But now with an eviction im worried about even getting another rental. That horrid place has ruined my life in just 7 months. Anyone with advice I would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

My neighbor possibly has bed bugs. Does my Landlord have a legal obligation to tell me?

We walked out of our apt to find our neighbor across the hall had exterminators and they were in the process of sealing her door. I went downstairs to ask my Landlord what is going on, and she said that she "Thought" she had bedbugs, but it was something else; some sort of beatle so they decided to exterminate anyway. Does she have a legal obligation to be honest with me so that I can protect my apt? I’m assuming she is being honest because that is the right thing to do, but am I naive?

I tried to ask the neighbor, but she is long, gone.

I am driving myself batty with the notion of having bedbugs, and I’m not even sure that is what is going on? How do I find out?
