  1. He would either prove why we don't deserve full payment, or he would pay back the remaining $600 he owes us.

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

The day before a month after the lease ended (8/31/09) landlord sent partial deposit amounts to three of four tenants. Landlord included vague description of charges being withheld from deposit. These charges are unsubstantiated as tenants were never told about any of these on-going charges. Three tenants received partial deposit amounts. After four and a half months, the fourth tenant has not received any amount from the deposit nor an written explanation about withheld amounts. In total, around $600 is still owed to tenants based on unsubstantiated charges, failure to pay anything to one tenant, and failure to pay the amount of an outstanding utility bill (as per agreed upon in the lease).
