COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Before we moved in our apartment we reported the issue with the missing fire alarm and ceiling fan light not working. Nothing was done for either issue. Maybe two months later we reported it again. Maintenance came out and pulled on the switch for the light and told us he have to check with the front desk to see if thats his responsibility to fix it. We never heard anything back. We reported the alarm and ceiling fan light a third time around October before leaving for Florida for a week. It was suppose to be fixed when we got back; it was never fixed. We reported the it a fourth time along with the fire alarm maybe a month ago. We recently got the fire alarm maybe two weeks ago and today is February 4, 2011. He was suppose to fix the light on the ceiling fan but it still does the same thing. When we have company over with the light on in the livingroom the light will just go out all on its own, and that's embarrassing. They said they would up hold their end of the agreement but they are not doing so. I don't feel it's fair for us to have to pay our rent every month and they don't have to uphold their end of the agreement. We would like our deposit back and to be release from this lease. Thank you.
