COMPLAINT : Privacy breach over 8 days the wall in bathroom open to tenant next door
Fair Resolution according to renter :
  1. Break my lease because living here has made me so sick from the stress I have to be put in a hospital
  2. I begged them to please put some form of privacy wall temporary so I could not see into my neighbors bathroom. The manager told me no
  3. After 8 days of not eating because the hole wasbehind my toliet and ran up the way to the ceiling
  4. I told the manager I had flattend cardboard and to send someone to hammer them up after waiting over 8 days

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

when the leak first happend I discovered because my floor was wet behind the toliet. I had at least three different maintenance people come in. I was told it was because the neighbor above over filled his tub and they were going to seal up the hole they cut. After they left the water started pouring out into the wall. They contacted two contracters form outside, they came in and cut the wall all the way up into my celing. The next door neighbor and my bathroom are connected. The hole that ran up the wall was right behind my toliet. I have IBS. both my roomate and I could see into their bathroom as well as them seeing when we were in our. WE could here their conversations and I could not go to the bathroom because IBS has seriously gas problems which are very embarassing. If I was on the toliet and they came in and turned on their bathroom light I would turn my light out and leave. I begged, cried pleaded that someone come and even just put plastic over it. No one came. After 8 days while mamangement decided what bid to accept I had a nervous break down and on Monday morning asked to speak to management. She told me she had a maintenace man in the office and he told her they had nothing to cover the open wall between us. I told her I had card board and send someone over NOW. by that time I had stopped eating for a week and no longer had an appetite.. The maintenance man couldn't believe they had just left it like that. They also had cut a hole under my sink. I asked if mice or rats could come through there. He told me he didn't know I was terrified of going into the bathroom and finding a rodent in there that came from out of the wall. At the same time there was a major leak under my sink in the bathroom. I called for emergency maintenance. She wouldn't send someone out unless I could tell her where the leak was at. I checked and cut my hand wide open and couldn't stop the bleeding. by the time maintenance got their I was coverd in blood. He told me it wasn't my job to troubleshoot the leak. All I ask is they release me from my leak so I can go home to my family to be taken care of. I weigh 98 pounds from the stress and if I don't go home I will be put in the hospital. My manager smiled as I was telling her this and I asked her if the demise of my health was funny. She told me to get a lawyer if I want to break my lease. I took pictures of everything.
