COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I moved into the apartment about a month and a week ago. Two weeks later, I start experiencing bites on my legs and arms. Soon my roommate suffers from similar bites. One week after the bites started, I found a bed bug on my pillow. Contacted the Landlord to have him remove the parasites, but was refused and told point blank that my contract says we have to get rid of pests ourselves, including all the costs for it. I read the tenant and landlord act for Arizona online and also did research on the bed bug removal and found it to be very expensive and extremely out of my price range, since I just barely started a part time job. Roommates blame me for bed bugs, claiming it was my fault, since they didn't have any until I moved in. I have never experienced bed bugs in my whole life and I have lived with my brother, my parents, and in an apartment complex in Rexburg, Idaho, and never once had bed bugs. Apartment right next door to ours in 237 mysteriously left the premisis and packed up their things in a day and left. They did so two weeks after I moved in, just before the bed bugs started showing up in our apartment. I can't afford the cost to remove the parasites and feel wronged that I am targeted by not only my landlord, but my roommates as well to get rid of the bugs myself.
