COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

My roommate and I stared getting bit, we didn't know what the issue was. I have a friend that works for a pest pontrol company that suggested that we might have bed bugs. She came to the apartmanet and did an inspection for us and she said we did. I at the very monent acompanied by my friend went down to the office and asked if pest control was covered in my contract. She stated it was. I continued to tell her about my current issue. She called Northwest Extermanating right a away. They set an apointment for an official inspection to make sure there was infact bed bugs. They came out said we did informed us about the issue at hand and said they were going to takl to the office about setting up a time to do the heat treatment. A week later someone completly different from a different company came out and said that we were not ready for treatment (even tho we were had preapred for the heat treatment according to specification) because they were going to do the cheamical treatment. We did what we were told and got ready. They came out and did the theatment and did not re-enter the apartment for 24 hours just to be sure. When we returned my roommate woke up in the middle of the might to find a minimum of 3 bed bugs on her person. She freaked out, and left to her parents. We told the complex about the inficency of the tretment that they choose. and we have not yet resived a response. Neither myself or my roommate feel safe being in our apartment. She has not been here in avoer a week, I in the other hand have no were else to go. We need this issue resolved. The only contact the apartment had made was to leave us a note stateing that we owed 250.. dollars for the bed bug treatment that we requested. Please help us!

LANDLORD / TENANT RESPONSES (1)
From Date IP Address Response
Renter May 10, 2011 70.164.248.9 I know I was giving one week to respond, I apoligize that I did not do so in said time frame. Immedietly after view the Agent's response I was made aware of a change in management of the property. My goal is to get this resolved as stress free as possible so I the following Monday when they came to do the walk thru of the complex I made sure that the new managent was aware of my situation. The supervisor of the accusiton was very understanding and reasuring that this is was also a priority for them. Thay she would do resarch to see what was our best course of action. I later in the week went in for a progress report and the only thing the new property manager could tell me was what was handed to her on a piece of paper from the previous manager. At first I felt as if I was being blamed for this, and as if it was my fault and I was the one solely responsable. After I voiced how her approcheto the situation made me feel, she changed her deminer towards my request for information. She assured me that they had a vented interest and that they too wanted this resolve. I attemted phone communication without responce twice (during bussiness hours) I left a message asking to please returm my calls and I have yet to get a responce. I have pictures of the conditions in my apartment is currently in. All I want is for the problem to be resolved.
