COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Landlord has not refunded my $1000 security deposit or provided a repair list in 4 months. My lease went from 9/6/10-12/12/10. My forwarding address was written on the lease and I provided it along with my phone number in a letter I provided before I left. I have only been able to reach the landlord twice, which he said the deposit would be taken care of. I have left numerous phone messages to which none have been returned.

Agent Jun 16, 2011 LANDLORD REFUSED: The Agent has made every reasonable effort to get the landlord to respond to the complaint filed by the tenant. The landlord has refused. The RPA can no longer mediate as the landlord is unwilling to cooperate.

Agent Jun 2, 2011 CASE UPDATE REQUESTED: The agent is requesting that the landlord or tenant update the case as to the status of the complaint. Agent will provide one full week for updates.

Agent May 25, 2011 FINAL RESPONSE PERIOD: Agent is providing both parties with 1 week to create final statements. Agent will review statements to determine if further mediation is applicable.

Agent May 24, 2011 LANDLORD REFUSAL: Despite repeated attempts both written and verbal, the Landlord/ Manager has refused to respond to the complaint. Due to the landlords refusal to cooperate with RPA Mediation, the RPA has no choice but to close this case. The tenant will need to seek other legal options such as court.
