Since landloard is non-compliance; Not doing the maintance activity on time, and disagreeing to so some of the breaches; I have given move-out notice according to the Arizona Landlord and tenant act. According to the law I don't have any obligations, but land lord is charging me $1976.78 as lease termination fees.
The lease period is 04/09/2011-02/29/2012. On the move-in day, I have provided them with 8 maintanace issue on the apartment and for some of them, they have not even came and checked for 60 days. I have given a move out notice by explaining the law and sections on 06/08/2011, but they are not agreeing it. I explained on the notice about the non compliance and explained the law as I don't have any obligations to them, but they came and fighted with me and charged me a termination fees.

LANDLORD REFUSAL: Despite repeated attempts both written and verbal, the Landlord/ Manager has refused to respond to the complaint. Due to the landlords refusal to cooperate with RPA Mediation, the RPA has no choice but to close this case. The tenant will need to seek other legal options such as court. |
