| COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
|
. My mother, Linda England is a current resident of the Prince Edward Graves Apartments, and she has had many issues that the office managers have refuse to help with. I have already spoken and filed a complaint with HUD and I am also waiting for a response from The Alston Realty Group. There has been an issue with Bed bugs within the community and the residents seem to be spreading it to each other, my mother has had to throw out her belongings, and I have had to send money to purchase very expensive bug spray from Lowes, and also had to send money for a new bed. When the office became aware of the issue, they stated that there was no funding to send an exterminator and that she had to deal with the issue on her own. She has also had a leak in her roof for months, also to be told there was no funding. The leak goes down her ceiling and wall into her kitchen causing water damage to her belongings. My mother is very ill, and is on oxygen, she was also recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This has caused her much grief and suffering, if these issues are not resolved I am willing to file as may complaints as possible and I do have a personal attorney that is looking in to the matter as well. My mother has also stated that Mr. Alston has come out numerous times to view the property but nothing has yet to be done about the disarray of the property. I have spoke with my attorney and I know that HUD is funding these properties and giving money to The Alston Group, and for there not to be any funding for these people to allow these defenseless elderly and disable people to live this way is deplorable. The office manager also came down to speak with my mother today to tell her she has 48 hours to find a pay for pest control that it is her responsibility.
