COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

On August 11, 2011, I gave notice to my landlord that I would be leaving a the end of the month and requested the return of my security deposit as per my lease. I also provided him with my new address. On August 31, 2011. my lease ended, and I moved out, leaving the keys to the apartment in the locked apartment as instructed to do so by my landlord, Steve Veith. Since that time, I have sent Steve a number of emails requesting the return of my security deposit, but he has failed to respond or to return the deposit. I am seeking the return of my $300 deposit.

Landlord Oct 23, 2011 71.224.202.236 There was no reason for withholding the security deposit and a $300.00 check was sent out to 1505 race street, Philadelphia, pa. 19102. The address that is on our lease with the said tenant. I see from the complaint a different address and I will cancel the previous check and send a new one out monday, Oct 24th. We deal with hundreds of tenants a year and a mistake can be made with security return if forwarding addresses are not made clear. We request that the tenant acknowledge receipt of security on this site. Thank you! NV
