| COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
|
Moved into unit on November 7, 2011. Upon move in me and my children began getting bitten by an unknown bug. After 1.5 weeks in the unit I found a bug in my bed. Proceeded to place the unidentified buy into a zip lock baggie and took it to rental office for inspection by certified fumugation specialist. When I did not receive a response I began my own research as the issue did not go away. Informed owner based upon my research I believed the bug to be a bed bug. Owner implied the issue may have originated with me as a result of purchasing new furniture from Jerome's. Began speaking with neighbors in adjacent units who shared issue is also present in their units and has been going on for several months and owners/managers refuses to resolve the issue. Also requested from previous property managers (Villa Vista) and Jerome's written statements to prove issue did not originate with me. Owner has refused to do anything though issue was clearly pre-existing.
