COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Valley Rental had informed us when we moved in that we had until the night of the 3rd to pay our rent. Every time except for one time I have paid by the afternooon of the 3rd. I have check statements to prove it. They have been charging me late fees for those times even though their agreement says we have until the 3rd at midnight. Our garbage disposal was backing up, I had maintanence come to fix it. They charged us a 50 dollar fee. I paid this with a money order and Valley Rental lost it. I have the receipt for that. Last months rent was paid on the 2nd. It was paid with a check and a money order. Valley Rental credited my money order to someone else's account and lost my check in the process. Then they charged me a 75 dollar late fee and want me to write another check without knowing where my other one went! I refused to do that. I called trying to work things out and they wouldn't budge. Now they are trying to evict us in 3 days so we can't file complaints. And they charged us a 40 dollar fee for hanging up an eviction notice on our door. I believe my rights have been severely compromised by Valley Rental and they are trying to take advantage of a single mother who works 2 jobs. I am wlling to take this to small claims court if I have to. Thanks
