COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
I moved into my apartment on April 6, 2012 and was not told of a bed bug problem in this community nor have there been any reports. A week after moving in I began noticing red welts, bites, and itching on my arms and legs. The bites and itching have been getting worse and a few days ago I found a bug crawling on my leg and I caught it in a container. I searched the internet for the type of bug it was and found out it was a bed bug. I immediately removed all the linens from the bed only to find more of them. I asked my neighbor if he had noticed bed bugs and he told me that when they first moved in they had a bed bug infestation. I called the emergency maintenance number to have them come immediately but the operator told me to call the rental office first so they can have someone come out and verify. I called the rental office and left a message but no one has called back. I noticed yesterday an exterminator coming out of the apartments two doors down. I purchased mattress protectors and bed bug spray but have find they are multiplying in the walls.
