COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

There were bed bugs in the apartment and initially when I suspected I tried to apply bed bug spray. But since it did not eliminate bugs, I complained to landlord and they brought the exterminators and told me that it will be under my expense. Even upon repeated requests, I was never told about the amount for the etermination charges and I was asked to contact exterminators. Upon contacting exterminators, they did not provide me amount and told that they sent invoice to Kissling. All this was going on while property is under renovation and Kissling gave us 60 day notice period to vacate. Even when I was vacating, I was never told about charges. But when setling my security they charged $2514.12 as the Move out charges and all the description provided to me was "tenant refused walkthrough". At the time of moving out I was never told what the formalities are and i was just asked to drop the keys, but I was charged for $10 deposit I paid for parking tag. Initially, I was supposed to move to one of the properties of Kissling, but just two days before I was supposed to move out they refused to let me move in their due to bed bugs and they informed that if I do not move out as planned, it would go to court as they have served 60 day notice. It has caused tremendous stress to me and I had to find new place in a day. I

I would like you consider this and cooperate on this mediation process. Otherwise, I will have to close the case give case a negative publicity record

If landlord had to exterminate bugs in entire building then I might be the first person to complain but I do not think I am responsible for bed bugs in any way. I do not accept responsibility for bugs in my unit let alone entire building
