COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I recently moved into a trailer that has a current bed bug infestation that the landlord knowingly knew about and failed to inform me. I had lived in trailer #11 which is owned by the same person for 9 years without ever having an infestation of bed bugs. My son talked to the landlord and she said that she had already treated the trailer prior to my moving in while being occupied by other tenants. I talked to manager asking if they were going to treat the trailer, he informed me that they were not responsible to treat bug issues. When I told him about that I was unaware of the infestation he said, " you should have known about it because everybody else did". My sister was present during this conversation. I am going to have to move as soon as I get the money because other trailer houses are infested and given the current situation and actions I do not see treatment occuring. I am requesting at the very least all deposits and transfer fees that have been incured as of this move refunded back to me, any monies that I have been forced to pay pertaiing to this bed bus infestation, as well as a refund for the RPA fees. The landlord did have terminex come spray around the outside of the trailer but this was only for bugs not bed bugs. The reason I know this is because I had Peak Pest Services LLC come to my home and do an inspection. During this inspection I was informed as to what I need to do for the preperation for extermination of the bed bug infestation. When terminex came in they did nothing but spray along the edge of the walls and under the cabinets as you would do for regular bugs. They have only been out twice and the landlord stated that she has signed a contract with them for a year. The reason I ask to be the party who picks the company is because I do not feel as though the landlord will chose a company who is reputable and capable of eliminating the infestation, only one that will do what is needed to cure the surface problem or lie on her behalf. Cowboy Pest LLC has a good reputation as far as eliminating infestions with bed bugs and it the quote that they gave me was $1200.00. I am hoping to have this problem resolved as soon as possible to avoid future bites and health concerns.

She has not treated the trailer, and she is making sure Im out before you have time to do anything about it. Four other people are moving also.
