in april of 2010, in order to help out a childhood friend who could not find another place to live because of his criminal background, i moved into the address listed above which I rented from prestige realty. Prestige was the only place who would rent to him as they are known for there low rate properites. 2 months after moving in my friend was again in trouble and I was left at this address by myself until april 8th 2012 when I knowingly moved out, as I had informed prestige thru conversations with them when I had moved in there was things noticeably wrong right away: The carpet had stains, the kitchen floor was stained badly and needed to be replaced, the towel rack in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, the silverware drawer didn't stay on track and constantly needed to be adjusted along with the closets in my bedroom and the windows were rotted out and needed to be replaced. At first when i contacted them about many of these things they would send people in to fix them. However in many cases they would not be fixed correctly and would be left in worse shape than before. an example of this: I was left without a silverware drawer entirely for 6 months after calling them to fix it and they took it with them to repair and when they finally brought it back it was completely unuseable!! so i was without a silverware drawer for 20 or the 24 months I lived there. In the summer of 2011 I sent them a letter detailing these things and asking to have the windows replaced as I my heat bill was over $200 every month and I was still freezing. I never even got a response until I contacted the city,and an inspector forced them to replace the windows. After this, prestige would not fix anything and when I moved out made up a bill charging me for everything they could including many of the things I asked them to repair upon moving in. On top of this I did not receive there bill until may 31st 2012 which was well after the 21 day deadline from when i moved out on april 8th 2012. Almost everything on their bill was entirely false and fabricated, and my grandmother who ran apartments for over 30 yrs attempted to reason with them. In june I left them a message stating I would send a payment, which I did along with a letter stating my position. I sent them $100 dollars which was more than they deserved and the same day they sent their bill into collection. I have many letters documenting these things and all travesties endured there and will provide them upon request.

Renter Aug 13, 2012 184.59.203.116 What the landlord has stated as in every other case is a complete LIE!! I asked for a new one year lease in March of 2011 for starters and magically another month was added to the lease. I informed Prestige Realty in Feb 2012 that I would be out on April 1 2012 and that's when I was informed that another month had been added on to the lease. When it came close to April 1 2012, I realized I wasn't going to be able to get everything out for another week, and called and spoke with Debbie Seefeldt who explained to me that because I was paying thru May 1, I could stay the extra week. She went on to inform me that I make sure I called and left a message saying when I was out the following week so they knew for sure which date I was completley gone. I left that message on the Sunday, April 8th 2012. As far as the fraudulant bill they put together: The kitchen floor, bathroom floor, blinds, drawer in the kitchen, my closet doors in my room, and the carpet were damaged the moment I moved in. We placed brand new lights in the apartment prior to moving, and I also left the two copies of the keys that I had on the kitchen counter and cannot be held responsible for what happened to them after I was gone. I had the carpet cleaned professionally the day before I left permanently and it looked better than any moment I had ever lived there, however there was a small spot from a marker where my niece had missed her coloring paper. I left a copy of the bill from the carpet cleaning next to the copies of keys as I had been asked to do. I can provide copy of receipt and proof carpet cleaning if necessary. Prestige Realty is extremely poorly ran at best, and they are trying to fabricate the facts of the situation and take advantage of their landlord status in this situation. I had been in contact with them throughout this entire process, and sent them a letter explaining what I was willing to pay for and even told them I would be sending a check for $100.00, and in extremely classless fashioin they sent their fraudualnt bill to a collection company 4 days later. Regardless of what happens here, I will wait till this goes to court and will fight it there if need be and nothing can be done by this website as promised. Regardless of whatever lies this exremely pathetic company fabricates, I know the truth and will never stop fighting for what's right.. I attempted to upload the letter I sent prestige in response to this fraudulant bill, along with the check for $100 that was sent prior to them putting their fraudualnt bill in collections, and a week after they were informed that I would be sending such a letter and check. I also explained that I would send another check each month to pay any debt owed once both sides could come to an agreement on what that amount actually was.. not based on fraudulance and fabrication but instead on facts.
