My wife and I moved into the apartment April 16th 2012 with no previous problems with bed bugs or any other infestations. Mid June I had a bed bug fall on my magizine in the bathroom the only thing being above me being the exhaust fan. At that time I killed it and not knowing what it was went on my way. I then found another the next day on the brick wall in the living room and researched into a bit a found out it was a bedbug We had a mait guy coming out that day to check to see why water was coming into the bathroom ceiling so we mentioned it to him. All he said was he did not see anything. I then thought he would tell the property manager what we have found so I gave it a couple weeks. Early July I called and talked to Shanda about the situation and she said an exterminator would be out Friday 7/13/12 and that the spray they use will kill on contact so don't worry. I wait a week for the exterminators while i continue to find them and bite marks on my legs feet and my wife's arms. Finally the day of relief and the exterminator fails to show up I call the office after coming home from work to find no one had been there and the responce had been the exterminator didn't come in for the keys for people that weren't home but he will be back next Friday 7/20/12 and he will spray don't worry we wont let this become an infestation. So another week rolls around with more of the same bites and the exterminator shows up at around 3p.m. to spray. He sprays in the bedroom and living room around where we told them we have found them. He then gave us instructions on what to do for the next two weeks before he would return and spray again which we did to the full extent up to spending 11 hours monday 7/23/12 cleaning every inch of the apt where we took pictures of the worst portions of including infestation under paint on brick in the bedroom and spending $60 on cleaning everything that was able to be laundered. I got home from work at 8 pm on the day of the spray to find bedbugs all over both brick walls in the bed and living rooms and all over the couch and bed to suprise because i was told the spray kills instantly and i have yet to find a dead one. We kept up with the daily mait of sweeping and having furniture pulled away from the walls we wrapped our box spring and mattress. We are still finding them alive through the whole process and to this day and also finding new bite marks daily. 8/03/12 was the next spray date and the exterminator did not show again.
