COMPLAINT : Charging Tenany $1195 for bed bugs heat treatment.

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

In July 2012, I had put up a maintenance request since I was having bugs and flies inside my apartment. My 8year old daughter once got red marks on her and I took her to the doctor. The doctor said it could be some allergy and gave her a allergy medicine. The tiny and another medium kind of flies were inside the apartment .I did everything i could to get them out but in vain. The maintenance man came in and found no flies in my apartment. I called again and asked for another maintenance request. The maintenance person came in and did some treatment inside the unit on 8.22.. After this the bite and red marks on my daughter continued to haunt us and one day found a crawling bug on the bed and on a cloth kept near to the bed. I called the office again to report this. I didnt know what a bed bug look like. The maintenance man came again with a dog and kept a note asking me to call the office since i was at work. I called the office ,talked to the manager Ed and he said he has not been notified of anything and would give me a call back if there is any. I didnt get a call back from him. I called the office a week later and put up a maintenance request again saying that it could be bed bugs and that i am not sure what they look like. The men came again and left same kind of note to me asking me to call the manager. I called the manager and requested him to takecare of the bugs.He started blaming me for not reporting and that "We have found the bed bugs , the dogs snapped it ". He sounded as if i did something wrong and he found out! I said i want to get rid of it, what can be done. He said he is talking with the treatment co. and waiting for their reply. I didnt get any call back. Called him again, He said they are sending dogs again to apartments the next day and if i would want the dogs come take a look. I said, dogs already came and found out, and there is no point of them coming again. I kept pushing on getting rid of the bugs since it was biting my daughter a lot. I even talked to the nurse on phone to get some advice and she asked me to put calamine lotion and if that didnt help , i'll have to take her to the doctor. Finally after many calls, today thursday 9/13/12 i got a letter from the office saying they will charge $1195 and the tratmment will be done at 8AM Friday 9/14/12.I went to the office and tried talking to the manager ED. He was very rude and asked me to "GO AWAY". I dont want to pay this amount for a problem the managenent shd be responsible.
