COMPLAINT : Bed bug extermination expense responsibility
Fair Resolution according to renter :
  1. The landlord should bear the entire expense for exterminating bed bugs from the apartment.
  2. The extent of extermination should include the entire apartment, and not just the my bedroom.

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I have recently started observing bed bugs on my bed. I reported this issue to Granite Management and had asked who would take care of the expense of the extermination. I was informed that the landlord will. Post this conversation, I was called back an hour/two later and informed that I would have take up the charges of extermination myself and the extermination would be restricted to my bedroom only. I disagree with this and believe the landlord should exterminate the entire apartment, and bear the expenses for it.

Renter Nov 16, 2012 128.210.159.131 1.On 15 Nov 2012 in the morning (around 9 am as per email received from Granite Management) our house was inspected. Me and the other two residents had moved out our stuff from our rooms to hall since we were told that "the extermination will take place on 15 th Nov 9am as scheduled" irrespective of pending unresolved issue on expense responsibility. We returned home late in night to discover smell of some chemicals but no note. No email was sent to us during the day apprising us of the investigation and what to expect. I could not move back into the bedroom since no information of that nature was provided/left.
