MY NAME IS VERONICA BAGEANT
I HAVE RENTED APT 1001 FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS AND HAD SEVERAL ISSUES BUT NOTHING THAT I COULD NOT LIVE WITH, UNTIL LAST JUNE 2012.
THE PEOPLE UPSTAIRS FROM US MOVED AND WE INHERITED THEIR BED BUGS! THEY CAME IN THROUGH THE VENTS AND SOCKETS. WE CALLED OAK POINTE'S OFFICE AND TOLD THEM AND SEVERAL DAYS LATER A MAN FROM TERMINIX CAME AND LOOKED AROUND AND INFORMED US THAT WE DID INDEED HAVE BEDBUGS, HE THEN CAME BACK SEVERAL DAYS LATER (SUPPOSEDLY TREATED, WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAPERWORK ABOUT ANYTHING) TOLD US IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 4 WEEKS AND THEY WOULD BE DEAD. WELL! GUESS WHAT, THEY DID NOT DIE AND THEY REPRODUCED!.
WE CALLED THE OFFICE AGAIN AND AGAIN SEVERAL DAYS LATER THE SAME TERMINIX MAN CAME BACK WITH 3 CANS AND AGAIN HE SAID THAT THEY WOULD DIE AND WOULD NOT REPRODUCED, OK SO WE WAITED AND AGAIN THE DID NOT DIE BUT GOT WORSE.
WE CALLED THE OFFICE AGAIN AND A SHAWN (MANAGER) CAME DOWN AND TOLD US THAT WE HAD TO GET RID OF MY DAUGHTERS BED BECAUSE IT WAS PAST SAVING.
THAT BED WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD! SO OK WE DID AND AGAIN THEY DID NOT DIE LIKE WE WERE TOLD ON EVERY VISIT.
WE CALLED THE OFFICE AGAIN, THEY CAME, NOW THIS TIME THEY SAID WE HAD TO GET RID OF OUR OTHER BEDS AND BOTH COUCHES, THOSE COUCHES ARE ONLY 1 1/2 YRS.. OLD, AND NOW THE BEDBUGS ARE SO BAD THAT I HAD TO GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR AN ALERGIC REATION FROM BEING EATEN BY THESE THINGS.
SHAWN (MANAGER AT THE TIME) SAID THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO MOVE US TO ANOTHER APARTMENT, (THAT WAS MORE THAN A MONTH AGO) AND THAT THEY WANTED TO PUT US IN THE SAME APARTMENT FROM WHERE THE BED BUGS CAME FROM TO BEGIN WITH!!,
NOW! DURING OF ALL THIS WE HAVE PAID THE RENT, WE HAVE BEEN EATEN HORRIBLY BY THE BUGS, WE HAVE HAD TO GET RID OF OUR FURNITURE, (AND NIKKI AT THE OFFICE TOLD MY MOTHER THAT WHEN WE MOVED WE WERE ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE OUR CLOTHES, THAT TERMINIX WOULD GET RID OF EVERYTHING THAT WE OWNED!!) AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT MOVED US, THEY HAVEN'T EVEN CAME IN TO TRY AND TREAT AGAIN.
THE OFFICE KEEPS TELLING US THAT THE REGIONAL MANAGER WILL BE THERE TO TALK WITH US, THAT WAS OVER A MONTH AGO AND STILL NO SIGN OF HER/HIM.
WE ARE VERY ANGRY, SICK AND STRESSED BECAUSE OF THE BUGS, MANAGEMENT AND TERMINIX THAT I AM SO CLOSE TO SPEAKING WITH A LAWYER, ... I THINK THAT WE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED RENT FOR THE MONTHS THAT WE HAVE HAD TO LIVE IN A UNINHABITABLE APARTMENT, AND REIMBURSED FOR THE 4 BEDS AND 2 COUCHES THAT THEY MADE US GET RID OF BECAUSE THEY DID NOT PROPERLY HANDLE THE EXTERMINATION OF THE BEDBUGS THAT WE DID NOT BRING INTO OUR APARTMENT!! WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THAT OAK POINTE MANAGEMENT AND TERMINIX TOLD US TO DO, NOW I DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE RENT THIS MONTH BECAUSE OF THE DOCTORS VISITS TO TAKE CARE OF THE ALLERGIC REATION AND BEING STRESSED.
