COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

The community recently change owners and management. First of all we have always paid our rent on time for the past three years. We have had no big problems until now. Recently I notice a tag on my car and I got upset. I called the office and was upset and tried to explain to the new manager that the tags are on order and it is coming from California and it will take time. She proceeded to tell me that it was too bad that my car was past due and she was going to tow it no matter what. I got upset and wanted her corporate number because I thought how uncompassionate she was. She did try to tow it then even though she knew the situation. Then I find out that they had entered my apartment when I was not home. Again I got upset with them and called them and told them not to do it again. They tried to tell me they had the right to do it and I told them they did not. It was for pest control. They had never given us a schedule for pets control. I sent them and e-mail telling them not to enter my apartment unless I knew when they were coming or they put out a schedule of when pest control comes. Well, then all of a sudden in the new newsletter there is the schedule for pest control. Funny how that happens. I have also kept them notified on how the tags are coming along. It has been difficult dealing with the DMV in California. They are way behind. Now all of a sudden we get a notice of non renewal which I think is a direct retaliation of the incidents listed above. We are being singled out for this reason because there are some residents that I know of that are still here and are violating the rules but have never been cited for them. Why is this? I challenged them and they don't like it. There are other important facts that I will discuss later. If none of this had happened I am to believe that we would have had a chance to renew.
