COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
Bed bugs have been discovered in our apartment, it was promptly brought to the attention of the apt bldg management. They had an exterminator respond a few days later and treat our apartment. We were told they would have to treat apartment 3 or 4 times. We were then informed that we would have to pay the exterminating fees as they felt we were the source of the bed bugs. There were people in another bldg that have also had bed bugs and this is not an isolated incident. We do not feel that we should be responsible for this cost as we have not had any issues with this in the past year. In addition, if the exterminating is not successful, we feel that we should be allowed to vacate our apartment immediately without charge to us or loss of our security deposit. Bottom line, Norstar Apts should pay the exterminating fees and rectify this public health issue.
