I moved into my apartment in September 2012 and by thanksgiving I was noticing my 6 year old had bites all over. I did a little research to see what it could be and thats when I discovered I could have bed bugs. So the day after thanksgiving I went to the office to let them know what was going on and to tell them I could have bed bugs. Their response was thats impossible we are very thorough in our cleaning process and she then continued to laugh at me. I left and decided to tear by bedroom apart and find out what was eating my daughter alive, after carefully looking I found bed bugs. I collected several of them and took them to the office that following day and the lady looked at me and said "oh my I have not seen these so large they must have been feeding on you for some time." She then told me about the process of the spraying to get rid of them. I ended up having to take 2 days off work to prepare my apartment for them to spray. After they sprayed they notified me that I had a $400 bill to pay for the spraying, I had to set up a payment plan to take care of it. Now 7 months later the bed bugs are coming back, in fact I pretty sure they were never gone. I took it in my own hands to go to the board of health about it, they made a trip to my apartment and found bed bugs. They informed me that it would be a civil suit and they really could not help. They advised me to get the protective covers for my mattresses, which I did at a very pretty penny. I recently decided I have had enough after watching my 6 year old cry because she can not stop itching due to the bites, that I need to leave. I went to the office to ask about my lease and I found out I still have 2 months left and they will not let me break it early. For the sake of my 6 year old I have to find a solution and fast.

Renter Aug 2, 2013 198.228.228.150 1.I was notified that someone would be checking my apartment for bed bugs on 7-29-13, which they did, but I had to contact them to find out if they found anything and what they were going to do about it. They told me on 7-31-13 that they were setting up an appointment for the same company to come in and treat my apartment again and that I would be responsible for the bill.??

Renter Jul 26, 2013 198.228.228.173 1.I was told that the bed bug infestation I have endured over the last 9 months is a breach of implied warranty of habitability. I can not continue to live like this with my children.

Renter Jul 23, 2013 198.228.228.158 The landlords resolution did not work the first time so I'm not confident that it will work this time. I would like proof that the apartment wasn't already infested with bed bugs prior to my moving in. The landlord has said they do a thorough clean of the apartments, but if there was an infestation of bed bugs was the apartment treated. I refuse to live with these parasites any longer.
