My husband and I moved into Chelsea Ridge on 6/1/2013. We had two sewage back-ups one on 7/16/2013 and the other on 7/20/2013. We were not satisfied with how this problem was taken care of. I had raw sewage all over my apartment, tarps were not put down from the bathroom to my front door while maintenance walked in and out of my apartment, the toilet was taken off the floor and carried through my apartment outside, again on exposed carpet. Maintenance used a 32 oz bottle of Spray Nine and a roll of paper towels to clean up the sewage, this is not sufficient to clean up a sewage back up. Maintenance also steam cleaned our carpets with the same vacuum nozzle they used to suck up the dirty sewage water. We had human waste smeared all over our light switches and the underside of our toilet bow, our tub was also splattered with human waste, as was the baseboard of the vanity. This is a health hazard. I have reported Chelsea Ridge to the BBB, EPA, Dutchess County Department of Health, and the Housing Action Coalition. A letter is being sent by certified mail to the property manager detailing the problem and our concerns, and what we need to have done.
