I currently am without heat. If I stay and the furnace is replaced my rent will increase by $205 and I have will have to guarantee to stay for a minimum of one year. No other repairs will be made to the residence including repair to the air conditioning, so I would be without a/c in hot months.
My other option is to vacate, which is what I've chosen to do. But I am still without heat while I work on finding a new place to live, packing, etc.
