I would like Heritage Place Apartments to have my apartment thermal treated for Bed Bugs. I do not feel as if I should be held responsible for the treatment. I have never had an issue with bed bugs before I moved here, neither did my room mate. I started experiencing weird rashes in November and paid really no attention to them until this past month. I have been waking up with bug bites on my arms, legs and lower back and I started to believe it was bed bugs when I noticed the bites came in threes. I did my research and I came to the conclusion bed bugs. I informed the Heritage Place office and they automatically threw the lease at me and said my room mate and I were responsible for the full cost treatment of their choice. Two days later an exterminator finally made it to our apartment to check for infestation. He said there were no signs of one. In conversation he had also brought up after being asked that he had treated this very apartment before, as well as others in the complex. A few days later I was brushing my teeth and discovered a fairly big bed bug on my bathroom wall (I did take a picture of it to be sure) . I found this a little weird considering it was the bathroom and I had seen signs of them no where else. I then discovered one in the shower and a day or so ago in my bathroom sink. i personally called the exterminator myself and asked him to come look again. He told me that he was already coming out to the complex to investigate another possible infestation. The exterminator (Brady from ThermalRid) took a look at the picture on my phone and then checked again for an infestation. He told me that the picture was definitely a bed bug but still he seen no signs of an infestation but he definitely thought they were there. I asked about possibilities of them coming from other apartments he said that it was great possibility. He also stated that he wanted to check the apartment next to me considering my bedroom and bathroom were connected to the neighbors and I was the only one with bites in the apartment. I called Doris Gonzalez a few days ago and they asked her if the other apartments have been checked for bed bugs like she and Brady had discussed to me would happen. She mentioned that not until next week. She also asked me not discuss this with any of the neighbors because she did not want to scare them, if they didn't have bed bugs. I believe that I am not the only tenant with this issue and I will not be the last.
