COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Landlord violating agreement on accepting our rent. She agreed to be payed by mail and is upset it is taking so long, so gave us an eviction notice. We recently changed banks. The rent was sent by our account we are trying to close and 6 days into the month we found out the check bounced. I was in New York at the time (we rent in UT). I spoke to Rene and we both decided it would be best if I had the right account process and send a check. The appropriate late fees of 30 dollars a day would be payed when we knew what day she got the check in the mail. As agreed I had the bank send the rent amount. The check was processed on the 7th, within 24 hours of us speaking. (We communicated by text, so I do have this in writing, also have bank statements). On the 14th, she handed my wife papers saying we need to vacate in 3 days. There is no premise for this or reason. She should get the check any day. We could pay her cash, but that was not what we talked about. She has a deposit of 1800 dollars. This should be sufficient for any inconvenience.
