COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

In the first week (Move in date: September 30th 2014) of my occupying the apartment 336 the neighbors below starting pounding on the ceiling as I was moving my belongings into the apartment. Can’t remember exact date but it was within my first week here and has continued at least once a week since. The first time the banging occurred was when I was playing with my dogs not during quiet hours approximately 7pm. I consider this act (pounding on the ceiling) to not only be rude but also threatening to me as a single woman living alone in the apartment. In no way was any of the actions of moving in extremely loud or on-going in nature, in fact they were within "quiet hours" and would occur only as I arranged the furniture and belongings within my apartment. Shortly after I moved in, I was on my outside porch and the smell of marijuana was coming from the porch below me. The use of illegal substances should not be tolerated by management and I have reported this use to them via phone call. The neighbors have held several gatherings within their apartment including what I deem to be poker games and possible pot parties. There have been at least 2 times I overheard arguments occurring between people within the unit, this was heard from within my bathroom directly above their unit. The pounding on the ceiling again occurred as recent as November 14th (a Friday evening) directly after I removed my shoes and placed them to the floor in my closet. Again I ignored the pounding in fear of retaliation from people I have never met. It was the next day that management sent me a second and final notice regarding neighbors stating my disturbance. The neighbors stated that it sounded as though I am dropping bowling balls on the floor or weights in my apartment. I have neither bowling balls or weights or any item other than my shoes/boots touching the floor. I have provided Camden management the open door policy to inspect my unit for any items they would like to look for. No response to that has been given to me by management. Now it appears that my rights to live inside my apartment is being threatened by 1) management 2) a hostile neighbor who has reverted to violent acts (pounding on ceiling/walls) to threaten my rights to use and live in my unit.
