COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

The complex is refusing to cover a recently discovered bedbug issue. Discussed with the leasing office and they stated per my lease i\\\'m responsible. I dont agree. I have lived in this location for a few years and have never had any issues with infestation. The leasing manager stated it was \\\"my fault\\\" that the bed bugs were present, and that they somehow latched on to me and I carried them into the apartment, which is why they are refusing to cover the expenses. This was an erroneous statement and somewhat subjective and rude. The bedbugs could have been brought in by maintenance or could have been caused by the new tenants I have next door to me. At any rate I should not be responsible for pest control on a place im renting. That is the landlords responsibility.
