COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

The complex boasts about luxury and caring for their tenants when in reality its just falsely misleading people and they have no regard for safety. I was also told in the event of a situation to first call the courtesy officer instead of calling the police directly. The incident that forced me to move involved myself hearing screaming, banging and tossing of objects akin to domestic violence. I called the security officer who went upstairs then came back down directly to me (admitted by the regional officer Jamela to not be protocol) to tell me nothing was wrong. Five minutes later, someone tried to enter my apartment by angrily jerking the door handle then leaving when no one responded. They basically said to me that because there was no police report (despite them specifically telling me NOT to call the police) that there was nothing they could do. On top of that, they also (they being the management staff) they\'re not responsible for providing a safe environment. I do NOT feel safe here. Outside of my incident, there are cops constantly here all the time called on other tenants. They say they\'re smoke free but people smoke weed constantly, you have to send in a million complaints to get anything done and I refuse to be held responsible for a situation outside of my control that they feel isn\'t concerning or threatening my safety. I gave my notice to move out as soon as possible paying the reletting fee with proper notice. I dont want any money I\'ve given back, I just refuse to be liable for this place after my experience here.
