COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Beginning in March of 2020, I had noticed loud music being played from a stereo in the apartment above mine (Apartment 1) that penetrated into my living space nearly every day of the week. Specifically, outside on the balcony above the front porch, and inside of the apartment in the adjacent room. I\\\'ve made many polite mentions of this to the landlord via text message, and while I was reassured at first that he would handle the situation, time went on and the loud music continued. I made more mentions of the loud music in the following months and well into 2021, but the landlord did not want to action on this, replying to me in a rude manner to handle it on my own. I’ve supplied images of the text message exchanges** to my complaint form. Since then, even just the day before writing this, the music has gotten worse and worse. Upon reviewing my lease agreement, I’ve discovered that this loud music is in violation of Section 8: DISTURBING NOISES of the lease agreement I signed in 2014. 

 **Please note that in the evidence I’ve supplied, the landlord references the Apartment 1 tenant as a landlord also, but this person’s name is not on the lease agreement.
