Ant infestaiton

We just rented a house that is FILLED with ants.  They have sprayed but not working.  I asked for a reduction in first months rent. What can I legally do?  They deemed the house inhabitable, but I am talking 1000’s of ants.  Who is responsible for this?  Should the renting agency have disclosed this?
