| COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
|
In the beginning of the lease, landlord expected one of the tennents to place their name on the gas bill of the entire building. Tennents refused and a response or resolution never occurred during the first five months the tennents were residing there and using the heat. After the five months the landlord requested that one of the tennents place their name under the gas bill and to pay for all the previous charges that accumulated. Tennents have no control of the heat and are expect to pay the entire current gas bill, along with all the previous charges regardless of individuals that are not associated with the tennents are using the gas line. Tennents are also expected to pay the water bill even though there is an insufficient amount of hot water provided for tennents due to outside forces using the water.

AGENT CONTACT WITH MANAGEMENT: Agent has had phone contact with management concerning this complaint. Management was extremely hostile, and not interested in providing a solution and was more concerned about what the RPA could do to force them to cooperate. Agent informed management that the RPA could not force them to be fair, however that if they failed to respond, it would be attached to their public record as a negative mark. Management seemed to not care. |
