I moved in my apartment on a summer special in 2011-2012 paying a rate of 350.00 a month. On July 5,2012 I informed my realty that i would like to move into a one bedroom because i could not afford to pay $400.00 monthly there was a gentlemen that I spoke to at the front desk who informed me that it would be okay for me to remain paying 350.00 a month being that i was never late on a payment after he spoke to the manager Linda Baker. At that point i payed 350.00 on the verbal contract that we agreed upon and I still had a remaining credit of 10.00. At that point they handed me a paper to sign in order to renew my lease for the year of 2012-2013. As time passed on while residing inside the apartment i noticed there were many bit marks on my legs and arms I started to notice damage done to my furniture and bed set due to bed bug infestestion. My furniture was so infested that I had to throw them out in the trash. when i went over my lease I noticed it had a payment of $400.00 instead of the $350.00 we agreed upon. I then went up to my realty to inform Ms. Baker of this mistake. as I brung this to Ms. Bakers attention her and the very same gentlemen I spoke to about our agreement began to speak in spanish amongst each other and I felt very disrespected being that i do not speak spanish. At this point I came to a decision to terminate my lease because I could not believe how disrespectful, dishonest, and health reasons because of the bed bugs infestation.
