An overflowing toilet and bathtub prevented my roommate and myself from moving in. According to the lease, we had three days to terminate our lease due to these issues. The two separate landlord/ managers that I've spoken with refuse to allow this to happen! They are failing to honor the segment of my lease on line 16 under "Delayed Occupancy." I have now contacted two separate lawyers who are ready to assist me with the termination of this lease. I signed our lease to move in on Saturday, gave verbal notice of termination on Sunday and a written notice on Monday! I followed everything as stated in the agreement, however, the two managers continue to tell me "This can't happen. Our boss is an attorney and he won't let you terminate your lease." So, I've been forced to contact two lawyers at this point.
