This all began approx.2 years ago when a unit above me had a severe bed bug problem.They spread to an adjacent unit above to which the landlords admitted to not having the 2nd unit treated.Then in the recent past an adjacent unit to mine which a community laundry room also connects had an infestation of bed bugs and with speaking to this neighbor found out that this was her second infestation. Her unit treated 2x without myself being notified or provided with a professional inspection.On March 25th our nightmare began as I found an adult bed bug that had just fed on my 13 year old daughter.The landlord actually took this bed bug.I then began extreme measures to control this issue but through extensive research have found that this will absolutely require proper treatment provided by Professional Pest Management. My landlords have completely refused to provide proper treatment of this serious problem accusing me of being mentally unstable and threatening to see me in court.The landlord even asked me if I wanted our April rent check back.They have told me that if I don't like it we can find someplace else to live.They have attempted to make me believe that bed bugs are just a bug and that we live with bugs everyday and even micro organisms on our bodies.The fact is bed bugs are not just a bug! They are a parasite.They survive solely on human and animal blood classifying them a parasite.
