I'm being charged $1,444 for bed bug removal within my unit, as well as being held, by landlord, "solely responsible for the infestation of ALL units" with out proof other then her word. Bedbugs were present in more then three units in Beaver Brook Garden Under Assembly, No. 3203 State of New Jersey 213th Legislature " Statement : This bill makes landlords entirely responsible for maintaining a safe and clean living environment free of an infestation of bedbugs. This legislation provides that property owners are responsible for maintaining multiple dwelling free of bed bug infestations, And must remove bed bugs at their own expense when they become aware of an infestation in multiple dwelling. The legislation imposes a financial penalties upon a landlord who does not take immediate action upon notice that bed bugs have infested a property. "
