We were not given an amount of what we were getting for a refund on a security deposit until 7/7/2014. We moved out on 6/2/14. According to MN law, Park Avenue was not in compliance withholding the deposit beyond the deadline. Furthermore, some of the fees that they were charging were exaggerated/unfounded. The law states that: "if the lanlord does not return the deposit in the time allowed, the lanlord must pay the tenant an amount equal to two times the amount of the deposit wrongfully withheld, plus interest Minnesota statute 504B.178
