Moved into new apartment towards the end of November. 1st Day we moved in we were bit up by bed bugs and were even seeing them crawl around THE 1st day in the DAYTIME. Immediately let rental office know they sent Orkin for a 3 treatment process. Orkin came and inspected 1st to confirm bedbugs which we know we had (we even saved some for her) and assured us that the spray treatment would’ve sure rid the problem and that they had no knowledge of the bugs at this location.they claim no one Ever reported bed bugs but if an inspection is done before move in they should have known because the problem was bad. Well I saw Orkin outside my window two days ago walk into my building with all the same equipment to go spray another apartment. Last night I started getting bit again and we easily found 4 bed bugs. I think the spray is just making them travel from apartment which the Prkin lady told me is possible. I contacted the rental office immediately told them all my concerns my phobia of bugs how most of my belongings are outside on the balcony being ruined because I’m scared to bring them inside, how I can’t sleep at night. My boyfriend gets bit so terrible it lasts for weeks very uncomfortable my one year old daughter doesn’t get bit but had a reaction to all the bug spray (we took her to doctor to confirm)! So I called them told them all this and told them I didn’t want orkin to come spray that didn’t rid the problem and it gave my child a reaction. The two people in the office this morning told me there was nothing they could do they just work in the leasing office the manager is on vacation they have done everything they could. I told them that was BS I think they failed to properly inspect the residence or they knew of the problem but still moved us into the apartment. They had maintenance call me to say everything was ok in my apartment I told her no the bugs are back and we kept them for proof she informed me that the lady I spoke with didn’t tell her that and that she would try to get ahold of the manager because I requested to be moved or said they have to do proper heat treatment.
